Kelly Engebo, MA, CCC-SLP

Before starting Ready, Set, Communicate!, Kelly worked in a variety of professional settings. A certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) since 1999, she first worked at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mt. Vernon, WA, in the Children's Therapy Program. During that time, she was also a guest lecturer for undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA, during the sabbatical of one of her former professors.

In 2005, Kelly accepted a position at Early Choice Pediatric Therapy (ECPT), a children's therapy clinic in Vancouver, WA. She enjoyed working there, and left when she and her husband welcomed the birth of their first child. While at ECPT, Kelly also offered courses to childcare providers on facilitating language development as part of ESD 112's STARS program.

Ready, Set, Communicate! is the latest chapter in Kelly's career—an individual private practice offering her the opportunity to provide services close to her home in Kelso helping children grow and succeed.
